Brenda is an experienced registered psychotherapist (registry #001061) who offers her clients a safe, respectful and non-judgmental place to explore their struggles. Her goal is to help them gain new perspective in order to change and manage their lives.

Brenda holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Counselling, with extensive experience in helping individuals, couples and families through loss, grief, shame, guilt, relationship and marital issues. She uses client-centered therapy approach, and by integrating principles from Emotion Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Adult Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, to treat a wide range of conditions including: depression, anxiety, anger, self-esteem, isolation and family conflict.

Prior to her private practice, Brenda has been a Family Connections Counsellor in a social agency for many years. She supported individuals, couples and families in identifying their needs and strengths, and helped them foster healing, growth and relationship restoration.

Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Brenda enjoys working with clients from various cultural groups. They often find her compassionate and easy to talk to, and have expressed appreciation for her ability to put them at ease.
